Whether you want to fulfill a lifelong ambition to fly a helicopter, book a trial lesson or learn to fly helicopters and train to gain your Private Pilots License for Helicopters (PPL/H), we are here to help.
If you already have your helicopter license and want to broaden your flying experience, we have a range of Robinson R22 and R44 helicopters available for hire. You can find details on our self fly hire page, where you can securely buy hours online.
With bases throughout north and south Essex including Southend Airport (EGMC), training can be based at the most convenient location for you. The sparsely populated rural areas of Essex and controlled airspace around Stansted and London, means that Essex Helicopters operate in an ideal learning environment. There are plenty of geographic features to aid with navigation and a short flight into Kent can provide more challenging navigation exercises.
Our friendly and experienced instructors will provide you with safe instruction, giving you plenty of hands on flying time from the word 'Go' ensuring you thoroughly enjoy your helicopter flying experience.
